Shorten Some URLs!
The Applurkation
Website
http://plurl.me
Description
If there’s something the Plurkommunity was missing that is present everywhere else, its a URL-shortening service. Plurl.me may not create the shortest URLs (look to http://is.gd for that), but the name is creative (Plurk + URL = Plurl) and it does the job.
Thoughts
Plurl doesn’t have a bookmarklet tool and it doesn’t copy your completed Plurl to your clipboard, but it does allow you to post the Plurl directly to Plurk and modify/adjust the message that goes along with it.
The site also tracks the most recent Plurls and the top clicked Plurls (by hour, day, week or month). I’d love to see a bookmarklet Plurkers could use to complete this same process from wherever they were, instead of requiring someone to navigate to the Plurl site.
Maybe that’s an idea for a future upgrade.
