Looking at my Plurk profile today I noticed a new badge down below my karma number. The little pink icon has an old-school radio microphone on it and when you hover over it to take a closer look, it says “Creator of a Plurk community site”.
Plurkular has been listed in the blogroll of Plurk’s blog [...]
When I first heard about Amix’s announcement that Plurk was allowing custom CSS on Plurk profiles, I was excited immediately. This means I can create graphics and build custom color schemes to display my profile how I want (something the Twitter folk have been experimenting with a lot lately).
As the thought started to sink in, [...]
In the event that you’ve hit a missing page or are trying to post a message while Plurk is doing maintenance behind the scenes, chances are you’ve seen the A-Team screen. It’s got the lovable crew from the hit 80s TV show and includes a short message to tide users over.
“Plurk is currently unavailable. We [...]
As ThoughtWrong blogged and Plurked earlier, Plurk has released some updated features for the mobile version of Plurk. We still don’t have much more than a bare bones app, but the new features DO add some great functionality.
In the original version of mobile Plurk, you could only view the timeline populated with you and your [...]
During today’s PlurkCAST we were all honored to have Alvin, the lead graphic interface designer for Plurk, call in to the show and talk with us.

The new browse feature puts a spin on Plurk’s random Plurkers and top 10 list by adding a blank timeline to the top of the page and allowing you to browse for other [...]
While browsing Plurk reply pages today I noticed that something looked a bit different. Take a look at these two images and see if you can tell the difference (besides color schemes, Plurks and users).
Thanks to waves8sand for his before photo.
Can You Spot The Difference?
The Plurk page on the left has an RSS icon [...]
It’s the moment the Plurkosphere has been waiting for: news on the release of a desktop-based Plurk client. The applurkation is called Plurker and it’s being developed by a crack trio of Plurk fanatics.
Plurker, Your Life on Your Desktop
Keith Hanson, the original visionary for Plurker, made this statement about the client:
Plurker aims to bring much [...]
…and Plurk has been listening. As illustrated by Jane Chin’s post, ‘300! Worked for Sparta but Not for Plurk,’ several Plurkers have been complaining over the past few weeks about the limited functionality of the standard Plurk sidebar widget. The only options you have are to change how many recent Plurks you want included. Other [...]
