Description
onPlurk is a site “to help you discover interesting plurks and find new friends”. The site is similar to Digg in that users submit and rate links. In this case, users are submitting interesting Plurks or Plurkers. Users must create an account with onPlurk to submit or rate content.
The front page of the site shows recently submitted Plurks, though you can also filter by the top Plurks submitted in the last day, last week, last month or last year.
At the top there are tabs for popular (by ranking) and upcoming (newest) Plurks. If you are a registered user, you’ll also have a tab at the top for submitting Plurks.
Creator
onPlurk was created by knorcedger, a Plurker from Athens, Greece who is also responsible for Plurkmania.
Remarks
onPlurk has potential, but it needs more users. I signed up a few weeks ago and it doesn’t look like any new Plurks have been submitted. A lot of people responded to my question about who owned the site, but it doesn’t look like that awareness has translated into traffic…yet.
